Soilder Boy

by Charlie   May 18, 2008

Dear boy, you are a solider
And yes we went to war
We made a blaze together
But still you wanted more

I saw you give the order
That sent me to my death
My eyes were laid upon you
And you stole away my breath

There I was a captive
Encased within my heart
The only way too free me
Was to shatter it apart

So you so cold and ruthless
Didn't hesitate
To do that what was needed
To throw me to my fate

And there I was a broken
Drowned in my own tears
It had finally happened
What I feared most for years

Although the war is over
The bombs still echo through
The heart that was once broken
Will fix itself for you
