Dissaproving mothers are left behind

by Sheep   May 19, 2008

Said a mother to her daughter:

i do not approve
of you style and mood change
i know that people look at you
as if your very strange

this thing that you call fashion
is just a little fad
the eyeliner that your wearing
it makes me very mad

i think your attitude problems
are something very confusing
the respect of all your peers
is something that your loosing

your choice of accessories
just leaves me to wonder
if love hate on your knuckles
was just a pens big blunder

is black nail polish really in?
i thought that you liked pink
and now i wonder honey
what do you really think?

wrote a daughter to her diary:

she does not approve
of my style and moody change
but who cares how they look at me?
i love that i look strange

this thing that i call fashion?
it how i express myself
and the eye liner that i wear?
who wants to be porcelain beauty on a shelf?
(not me.)

you think I'm the one with problems?
at least i don't control your life
and all my other peers?
we all carry around these knifes

these knuckles of mine
happen to be what i like
love me or hate me
but you and i are not alike

and no, black nails are not "the bomb"
i paint them how i want
but you really should know
our friendship i do daunt

now just leave on my own
i don't care what you think anymore
I'm leaving tomorrow morning
a crazy world I'll go explore

P.S. don't call me honey. and, pink can go to hell. ha. take that.
