'School is good for you'
Thats what parents say,
'Its fun, its safe,
you learn, and play'
Yet they don't know
that school is a graveyard,
a place for broken hearts...
Its the place that you learn,
Your not good enough...
They say your stupid,
They say your dumb,
The teacher hates you,
She even says so...
She asks a question,
of course you answer wrong,
They all look at you...
The teacher says,
'Your stupid, your dumb,
get out of my class,
your not good enough,
your not good enough'
You run out to the rain,
it covers your tears,
you see that boy,
you said you loved him,
earlier that day...
He laughed at you,
he pointed and said,
'You are stupid,
you are dumb,
you're not good enough for me'
You look at him now,
he looks at you,
he speaks slowly...
'Your stupid,
can't you understand,
no one likes you,
neither do I...'
He walks away,
you run home,
you never return,
you never learn,
food is spelled f-u-d-e,
Two plus Two equals Three.
He thinks of what he said,
while watching the night drift by,
he wonders if what he said was wrong.
Many years from now,
you'll see him again,
he will be walking and talking,
you'll be holding a sign,
which is spelt wrong.
You'll walk up to him,
you'll hold out your hat,
and you'll say...
'money for the poor,
money for the stupid,
money for the poor,
money for the dumb,
money for the poor,
money for the one,
who isn't,
good,
enough...'
This poem shows how only a few people can make a life better...
or crush it between their palms...
