A last gaze from dying eyes.

by WhiskeyGirl   May 19, 2008

Upon each other,
the fondest friends,
in silence, we now gaze,
there are no words to stirr the stillness,
no hushed farewells or praise,
peace will come,
when all is calm,
tears whenever they may,
i shiver now,
for my fondest friend,
is dying on this day,
i listen to his breathless sighs,
and to his heart to mine,
which beating now,
so calm and slowly,
threatens soon to die.
His hands,
so icy, weak, and pale,
now rest apon my own,
and, weariness,that villain,
in his dying face is shown,'
but though the hand of death shall harm him,
and by the pain he's tried,
my love and face shall hearten him,
as i stay by his side.
For once he said,
when passing nears,
and come the end of time,
he prayed mine, the last voice he'd hear,
his last gaze to be mine.
He looks at me,
with dying eyes,
to weary to endure,
they flutter once,
in soft farewell,
and close forevermore.

Dedicated to Robbie. R.i.P;;Robz. You'll never know how much you really meant to me.....
