Unworthy ((of sweet dream wishes))

by StandStill   May 19, 2008

Unworthy of sweet dream wishes
do you ever wonder if it keeps me up at night?
staring holes into the ceiling,
wishing for the morning's light

He's not going to ever ask,
six words that echo in my heart,
dance the dance of liars again,
what's another night of falling apart?

These fuzzy thoughts creep through my mind,
little caterpillars waiting to be unleashed,
i can't grab them, no, i'm too afraid,
too afraid there's no potential to be reached

You'll tell me this is a lovely poem,
it just needs a little tweak here or there,
the funny thing you'll never understand
is that this is a silent plea for your care

One day closer seems too far away
too far when you're taking baby steps,
what if in a day or two, my friend,
what if you decide you want to forget?
