Thrashed all purity

by Ash   May 19, 2008

Deception and treason,
Provided without reason.
Gone are the days,
Unworthiness now stays.

It's an image,
Two souls within,
The good and the bad,
Who will win?

One believes in truth,
The other thrives in lies.
One filled with hope,
The other engulfed in darkened lives.

Cuts and evils of the heart,
Cannot remain submissive.
It's a fallen path trodden,
Where hell be this soul's worth.

Torments or devil's thoughts true?
Old ways now opened,
Locked away all things new.
Faded, faded... diminish all good.

Clarity uncleared,
Thoughts so hard fought,
Devil won the ultimate battle,
Trashed all purity - total control.

I'm not sure if I understood the poem entirely; but what I did understand I much enjoyed. <3

This poem is also very good. The flow is good but the wording could use a little work. I didn't like how the first stanza was the only stanza that rhymed. But all together it was a good poem
