Last Night I Dreamed

Last night I dreamed I was flying
Soaring through indigo night
I slipped through clouds and mist
To play in the soft moonlight

Last night I dreamed I was floating
Swimming through water clear
Sinking down into the depths
But there was nothing to fear

Last night I dreamed I was running
Wandering through grass and hills
It’s easy to lose yourself within your dreams
But sometimes dreaming kills

I awoke with a jolt to reality
And thought of my life so vast
Had I a choice between dreams and life
I’d pray for the dreams to last
