Poem For Claire

This is a poem i wrote for my best mate i had a little argument with, were friends now but i was pretty upset when we did fall out, this was the first ever poem i wrote, hope u enjoy it.

Poem For Claire

As I think about the times we've shared
I can't remember the last time I cared
About someone as much as I do for you
Once I thought you knew

But now I know you don't think its true
But please trust me, you have to know I do
My heart sank every time I heard you crying
Please believe I never stopped trying

I tried so hard to make you feel so much better
And I know you must hate me right now
because I haven't sent you a letter
Not even called.

If there's anything I can do
I promise this time for real
That I will do anything for you
So that this friendship can heal

I've got so many things to say
I wish so much that you didn't live so far away
Then I could make it up to you this very day
And everything would be OK

You're the best friend I've ever had
Some good things, some bad things we've said
But we've always stuck together
And now I'm thinking I'd hate to lose you forever

Remember how we've always said we'll be friends until we die
I really don't want that to end up being a lie
Do you remember the things we said we'd do?
Do you still want them to happen? I want them to.

Just because we live in different places
Doesn't mean I want to stop seeing each others faces
And just because I have other mates to
Doesn't mean you don't mean more to me then they do.

You've been a great mate for so long
Our friendships been like a talented song
And I'd hate to lose that
because it's been like that since we first met

So please believe me when I say its true
because if you don't, there's nothing more I can do
And if you decide we can't be mates
Just remember I will never forget you!
