When were you planning to tell me?
Would you've said anything to me anytime later on?
Or were you afraid that you would hurt me,
And in being so hurt, then forever I would be gone?
Well what's done is done;
It's now in the past.
You were right to think that my love would not last.

But I knew as I heard you cry, you were sorry;
And I knew in my heart I'd forgiven you from the start.
