Unrequited Love

by Sam   May 19, 2008

I push and I pull and I try so hard,
But I don't want to push too far.
I send you notes, I write you letters
But no response - are your hands in fetters?

I feel like I am pulling teeth;
I'm afraid to know what's underneath.
Is this the way it's going to be?
While I write to you, you just ignore me?

I'm tired of giving and not getting back,
"Considering others" is a trait that you lack.
Don't bother trying to run and hide
By now, I am used to being left outside.

I'm now seeking comfort from Above,
But nothing hurts worse than unrequited love.
