When Dreams Come True

by Sam   May 19, 2008

I sit alone, secluded, by myself
Wishing for something tangible -
A warm hand, soft to the touch;
Dark curly hair, a tight embrace,
The sound of your deep, rich voice
Whispering,"I'm here, Love."
In the solitary moments of the day
One may oft' find me lying by myself;
But I'm not there - I am somewhere else.
Dreaming of being with you,
Just to see you face to face -
The object of my affection.
To look you in the eyes,
Those beautiful brown eyes,
And smile and know
That nothing can go wrong now.
To imagine what we'd do, say,
Where we would go....
Oh, how I would love to just sit and watch you!
Just being with you would be more than enough...
Yet all dreams, even daydreams, soon must end.
Though I hope and pray
Someday, my dreams will come true.
