Seeking Rest

by Sam   May 19, 2008

These burning tears, they fill my eyes
Just like the rain clouds in the sky;
They roll down slow and wet my cheeks,
Along with my pillow sheets.

I knew that it was possible,
But never thought it probable;
So here I sit with no contact -
The time I'll regain it, still not exact.

His father inadvertently
Was who tore my love from me;
Yet I love his father since he's his,
Though his son I truly miss.

Although I miss him awfully so,
God's working here, of this I know.
Through this imminent lasting test
May I, in Him, find my rest.
