Haunting You

by Sam   May 19, 2008

You lie awake in bed, trying not to think -
Eyes wide open, vulnerable and weak.
You know they're coming, but can't stop the nightmares
Of the girl with long blonde hair who meets you there.
When others rose to meet their fall,
She fell to rise again.

She represents all of the others;
Your trembling and fear each night she uncovers.
Though she may be the only one,
Her vector's process has begun.
When others rose to meet their fall,
She fell to rise again.

She's wanted since that very day
To take all your sweet dreams away,
Now each night you can't help but see
This ghostly form who's really me.
When others rose to meet their fall,
I fell to rise again.

Walking through your reeling mind
To remind you what you left behind.
While satisfied in reality,
Haunting your dreams, my serendipity.
When others rose to meet their fall,
I fell and rose again.
