Have You Seen My Love?

by Sam   May 19, 2008

Have you seen my love?

His eyes are brown as cedar wood--
One glance will make you fawn;
His lips're as soft as rose petals
That kiss as light as dawn.

His ears are just as ears should be:
"Succulent," yet tender;
And when you whisper into them,
Vun'rable he is rendered.

His skin, how smooth it really is!
How freckled and how fair!
How perfectly it complements
His curly, chestnut hair!

Have you seen my love?

His voice is deep and rich and full--
It gives me chills to hear it.
I feel safe while in his arms
(For me a perfect fit).

Although he's tall and slender, too,
His arms are very strong--
Enough to hold me tight in them
And snuggle all day long.

He, under all the clothes he wears,
Bears scars from long ago
(Just one more thing that makes him "him";
This is truly so).

Have you seen my love?

His heart is tender, loving, kind;
He's sensitive and sweet;
He's "practically perfect in every way"
(Save when he forgets to eat!)

He's smart, intelligent, and wise;
The godliest boy I know.
He prays for God's will in our lives,
And this I know is so.

With just a glance from his brown eyes,
I'm under *his* "Love Spell."
I'd tell you what he means to me,
But words could never tell.

Have you seen my love?

I hope it's been a help to you
Describing him just so,
So if you happen to spot him
By all means, let me know!

Then put him in a quaint, large box
And to me have him sent,
Then I'll tell him how much I love him
(This time not by accident).

Because....

Today's a very special day--
It represents a year
Of how long I've expressed my love
To my Sweetheart Dear.
