A Shoo-in for Failure

by Sam   May 19, 2008

Value is so relevant,
Where you choose to place it.
Within three weeks of time
Everything is lost;
From shattered thoughts and life-long dreams
To broken hearts, love's faded sunbeams.

I'm not very pretty,
I'm not very bright.
Not too long ago,
Everything seemed right.
But, it's all gone now;
It's all disappeared.
A stupid, lonely girl
Reflects back in the mirror.
Just let me collapse,
Make it go away.
Why should I want to
Live another day?
But then I stop and think
Of what You did for me -
Bled upon the Cross,
Died upon the Tree.

Not sure why You do,
But I'm sure glad that You
Still love this shoo-in for failure.
