My Miraculous Metaphor

by Sam   May 19, 2008

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: GREAT is Thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him." Lamentations 3:22-25

If I could paint a picture
Of what Christ has done for me,
I'd run out of space to draw and trace
All the wonderful things I can see.

Though perhaps the most beautiful scene
T'would be the scene I drew today:
How I humbled my soul, gave Him total control,
Lifted Him up, returned to The Way.

This feeling that I have today
Is truly unlike any other:
Selfish wants I've forgone - drear night's turned to dawn
Reviving the love for my Father.

To fully translate this to you
Would take more than meagerly words:
As clouds are clearing, my prayers He's hearing -
My miraculous metaphor.
