Serenity

by Dark Storm   May 20, 2008

A slightly chilly breeze blows by
As I sit in the field I so adore
Its for sights like this
that I love to explore

The moon is shining on the untouched grass
the breeze moves the grass so soft
while a few clouds in the sky
are hanging there, aloft

Then the scene changes
The once summer grass is now covered in snow
The moon still shining
Emitting its luminescent glow

So soft, the snow
So perfect, so pure
This is the meaning of peace
Of that I am sure

I walk a little further
Till I reach a familiar place
A breathtaking lake
So much beauty, so much grace

Trees surrounding it
The lake, still as glass
Oh how I wish
That tonight would forever last
