Goodbye?

(For my students, who inspire me, a goodbye)

You've been with me just for a year
And things have been so different here
While you've been here it occurred to me
You've worked out who you want to be

Some people may have often been
Too blind to see what i have seen
And i hope that you now know
The courage that you often show

And as you go i hope you see
One small thing you learned from me
Whether you travel near or far
Just be proud of who you are
