Two Good Boys

by Crystal   May 20, 2008

A smile like grace in only photos reclaim
The beauty of your soul that now-
Doesn't seem so whole.

You and him were just two good boys
With nothing fun to do.
Football season was over
And school was almost through.
We can say a few more weeks left
Before we start a new.

But life had taken a different turn
And I'm truely sorry to say.
Fate had decided to take you away.
Not a warning around
Or a way to know,
Your clock was counting down
With only a few minutes left to go.

You were just two good boys
Riding around with nothing to do.
It will never be sure what happened,
But this is always true.

The light and joy you used to bring
Seems casted to a candle.
There is nothing more to do but sing
And we will all be missing you.

What you would have been
And the good you could do,
This just can't be true.
Graduation is almost here,
I'm sorry this is real.

The world will never know,
Like those at Newberry did.
Surely for a while tears will fall,
Some after years have come
But you will never become,
The Forgotten Ones.

Dedicated to Alex Coppock and Richard Jaggers who died May 18 2008 in a car crash. You will never be forgotten and you will forever be loved by friends and family.
