The Storm and the Rose

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   May 20, 2008

Storm clouds form with a gusting breeze.
The Rose swaying gently, begins to speak.
She puts the stressed out Storm at ease.
The strong gray clouds begin to become weak.

Their secret language is spoken silently.
It has a telepathic quality. Things are understood.
The silent Storm wishes to strike out violently.
The Rose encourages the storm to rain. She says it is good.

Thunder starts to softly sound. The rain yet to be seen.
He opens up a bit and speaks of things he has not before.
She knows the Storm wishes to pour. Her senses are keen.
Never has he felt at such peace for his urging need to pour.

The Rose knows how he feels, but she never speaks of it.
He tells her everything, just not in a direct way.
The Storm shed a water droplet and on Rose he hit.
She patiently waits for him to make her a stormy day.

Just so you all know, no this shouldn't go under nature, it's a giant metaphor. :)

Thiiiis is amazing. Of course as we all think, this should be under nature.. but your right, it's not necessarly like that. :] I`m glad you take time to point that out to readers. It could be misunderstood by some. Okay.. Do I need to go into further detail? This is amazing just like your other 198 poems. You keep improving day by day. 5/5. Keep up the awesome work!

"huge metaphor" is a major understatement. More like "gigantic metaphor"

It seems more like a love poem to me, rather than a friendship poem. And I'm still trying to figure out what I got from it. I understand that the rose and the storm are two people. It kind of sounds like one is keeping a secret from another, or waiting for the truth to come out about something. I dunno, that's what I got from it.
It's a great scenario, and was fantastic that you were able to hole the metaphor through the whole thing, instead of just bits and pieces. I guess every reader will take in something different from this.
Hmm.... well, you keep me wondering, which is great!
