Seven seas

by Kaye Prosser   May 20, 2008

Treasure buried beneath the sea
a lost city we call to thee.
your beauty we wish to hold
in our greedy hands all alone

they raise their goblets to the sky
discussing of their future lives.
"together" one shouts
"we will share and strive become kings and sail the seven seas"

who would know
that they would turn so green
not by the movement of the restless sea
but by their never ending greed
to be better then the other they fought

ships came from all 7 sides
all destroyed from left to right
except for, one left to die.
with his gold by his side
he became king of light

all alone. who would know.
all alone. in his chambers laying in bed
the floor is wet.
not of red wine but of blood that drips
it drips from his wrists
