Watching and waiting,
and quite suddenly.
You ignore my words,
and frighten me.
The person down the road,
listening so anxiously.
To my thoughts and when I'm alone,
you come around.
Haunting me, and searching me,
The only thing you ever want.
So leave me alone and free me,
Let you see the scared child I've become.
Around you dance and ignore my pleas,
now my protector is watching over.
No longer will my days be dark,
from the shadow you've cast over me.
