Last Dance

by Miyako   May 21, 2008

Why won't you admit
you feelings for once
instead of hiding them
till the very last dance

as we hold each other close
fleeting through the crowd
holding me close
we floated on clouds

you smiled for me
a feeble weak smile
i saw your eyes
your heart hurting like hell

I've seen the way you look at her
I've seen you talk with her
you smiled so easily and free
like how you used to in past times so dear

now the silence is stifling
our closeness awkward
we separated
without a word

i nodded and smile
"go ahead, i wish you both all the best"
your eyes lit up
like a kid in a candy fest

you whispered "thank you"
as you turned away
a tear slide down my face
I'll forever remember this day

our first dance together
was also our last
and so your feelings for me
had also bitten the dust

but don't get me wrong
i really do bless you two
I'm just blaming myself
for being such a fool

I'll be happy if you are
even if your not mine
so be happy please
i promise I'll be fine

just don't forget our last dance
the one in which i let you go
cause no matter what happens
I'll always love you so
