Dementia

by Shalkan   May 21, 2008

Nightmares wracked my brain all night
tormented visions warped my sight
you were disfigured and broken and all a-fright
dementia followed me to spite

horribly twisted battle scars
your vile breath reeked of cigars
i was kept from you by iron bars
the door to my mind was kicked a-jar

bloody, rancid bodies lay
where you had wanted me to stay
bruised and beaten voices slay
take me from here and far away

deformities on your face were grand
bleeding eyes frozen very bland
pirates pierced your boneless hands
plank on deck and forced to stand

rocks from above split my brain
the gray melted away with the rain
all is gone that once was sane
all is gone that i thought plain

Your chafing lips' smile was slight
but behind those lips i found a bight
The slaughter remained with all my might
Nightmares wracked my brain all night
