Was it important?

by Spoken Silence   May 22, 2008

It's a world of hope as they say,
And new and exciting events happen everyday.
We spin around hoping not to fall,
But yet when we are happy, or close to it, we still want to stall.
Why are we all afraid of happiness?
And why do we still grieve?
Why is love so important?
But yet so painful for a heart to take.
Why is my heart so delicate,
And why am I so unsure?
If everything is possible,
And people have such perfect lives
Why is love so important,
When we are all just going to die.

Towards the end you kind of through the rhyming scheme out the window. It wasn't a bad poem though. I'm more of a syllable count person, but this was still a nice poem.
