Mistress of Misery

by Inevitable Dreamer   May 23, 2008

Mistress of misery, desperately she clings to me
I cant escape your piercing stare.
I crumble from the inside out
Screaming, tumbling, falling down.
Crying at the love that holds my pain
Smiling though the tears, my life is in vain.

I opened up I let you in
I break down again.
My heart shattered
My body battered
Used up and left cold
You leave me with a smile.
A gentle kiss upon my lips to let me know I was never yours.

Mistress of misery, desperately she clings to me
I can’t escape your piercing stare.
