Sunshine into rain

by meganmarie   May 23, 2008

She has to many scars
to many bloody hand prints
scattered on the wall
he used to be her sunshine
now all he is is rain
sewing all the sunshine pieces
trying to keep out the rain
his feathers are so matted
what a savior turned out to be
she goes to fly away
but is held down by the rain
no sun shines through her darkened world
no light to save her wings
she says it doesn't hurt
but she keeps falling
dying dying
her wings are breaking
he's laughing away his heartache
as he watches her fall
deep inside he knows he loves her
but he'll watch her die in his arms
he holds her tight
feels tears ambush his eyes
he let his angel die tonight
a sin he won't forget
he rips apart his feathers and cries to the sky
he prays for light around him
bring his angel back to life
but she's fading ever slowly
it's not enough to save her
he lost his fallen angel
the sun burns apart his wings
lets him crash to the soaken earth
he whispers to his angel
I've always loved you
and dies without a sound
