Eternal Numbness

by Indian Comma Bean   May 24, 2008

Take me from my torment,
Drowning in the river Styx.
Rescue me from this hell,
Where the fire merely licks.

Save me from this prison,
Where the warden's name is I.
The bars are made of feather,
But for eternity I am left to lie.

Please someone give me strength...

Show me the emotions,
That I've kept out on display,
Closed into a bottle,
There forever, they will stay.

Hold me by the thumb,
And guide me off to nowhere,
For I'm tired of feeling numb,
So please; Free me from despair.
