Yesterday I came home from work
There was a message on the message machine
I pushed speaker phone
Hearing your voice again was so sweet
But the news was not, it was heartbreaking
I heard that you needed to be congratulated so
I called you that night with tears burning in my eyes
My voice was breaking
You then answered
I told you I am so happy for you
She is a lucky girl to have you as her husband
He asked me if I was ok
I said ya I am fine
I am so happy for you though I could just cry
I then hung up throwing the phone to the wall
I couldn't sleep, I was just crying
The tears soaked up my pillow
Now after the wedding came the party
The start of your new life without me
I was standing there drinking this glass of red wine
The wine showing my reflection
Tears touched the wine
I am now just standing here alone in this crowd
Everyone was having a good time
Then I heard your voice calling me
This time it was real
You looked at me
Telling me to come on stage
I just nodded nervously while walking up to the stage
People were looking at me weirdly
When I got on stage
He took my hand pulling me closer
He then put his arm across my shoulder
While he spoke, his voice was so gentle
Now this is my best friend in the whole wide world
She was always there for me
I love this girl like if she was my sister
I just force a smile
I drop my red wine
It looked like blood
Now the glass broke like my heart
Now the reflection
Showed these burning tears
I can't deal with this
I will always now be the best friend
I run off the stage aiming for the door
I want to wash away all the memories of you
I am so happy for you remember I could just cry
