Rose Petals

by A Fallen Dancer   May 25, 2008

Rose Petals,
Lush and perfect,
Spiraling downward.
I once embraced their perfection,
Now, I cringe from their memories.
My soul spins into eternal darknesss,
Never to be seen again.
But somewhere deep inside me,
Lives a rose.
Once it was alive and beautiful,
Crying tears of joy.
Now it is fading, torn,
Crying tears of anguish.
Rose Petals,
Bruised and broken,
Tainted by pain.
