Never Touch

by A Fallen Dancer   May 25, 2008

Darkening and spreading,
The last, deepest drop,
Of a true heart's blook.
Brought to light,
As only it could be brought,
By an unfathomable violence.

Forgotten,
The want to think.
Forgotten,
Never to be touched.

Forced into darkness,
Against conscience and will,
All the rage and terror,
The pain and hatred,
That should have been love.

Forgotten,
The will to love.
Forgotten,
Never to be touched.

Hot tears, coursing down,
No longer clear,
But red and golden.
Shadows, moving silently,
The angels of the night.

Forgotten,
the will to live.
Forgotten,
Never to be touched.
