Faerie Tree

by A Fallen Dancer   May 25, 2008

I hear your voice from a distance,
And I know you're looking,
That you're trying to find me.
Search for me, my love,
Look deep through the dark forest,
Stare through the forbidding trees.
You'll find me there,
Hidden, in the faerie tree.
Tell me that you're here for me,
And coax me, with your gentle words.
Catch me, as my body tumbles from the tree,
Catch me when I fall, and it's over.
No one will be there but the two of us,
Because every time I look at you,
The love holds it all back.
The anger and pain and madness is subdued.
My eyes will be blinded,
Blinded by the tears I've tried to will away.
Search for me, my love.
You'll find me there,
Deep in the dark forest,
If you follow the forbidding trees.
Listen to my tears,
And you'll find me.
I'll be waiting right here,
Hidden, in the faerie tree.
