Cinderella

by desperately needing you   May 25, 2008

Left alone
to clean inside
was the maid
had lost her pride

wasn't invited
to the ball
not a fairytale dream
after all

her fairy godmother
came to town
disguised her with
the most beautiful gown

she danced and danced
her life away
struck of twelve
was a brand new day

she left the slipper
on the stair
thats little evidence
to show she was there

she was locked inside
her basement room
listen to the whispers
of her dreaming groom

finally free
the slipper made since
she finally found
her charming prince
