Shades of our love

by Orchid Man   May 25, 2008

As night begins to fall my mind centres upon the many shades of our love
I wonder if other people experience the joys of love or times of anxiousness we share?
Throughout our life's journey there have been many differing moments affecting our togetherness
Moments of passion, caring, worry, laughter, tears; all which we have triumphed through.

I cast my eyes across to you and through them a wonderful 'vision' enters my mind
In the darkening room the flames of the fire etch your womanly features onto searching walls
It's amazing how simple happenings excite me; bringing a soothing calmness to my resting body
Orchid Lady, your breathtaking beauty reveals to my heart I am so blessed to have you in my life.

Whenever I am alone I wait for the softness of your steps to shed me of my solitude
My love for you turns to adoration each time I see the redness grow in your blushing cheeks
Sweetheart, I dread the day should we ever be parted; as you are the vitality in my life
Indeed you are my inspiration and I thank God for each day we share through its uncertainties.

Had I a choice to be elsewhere; I would simply choose this very moment to be with you.......
....together in our curtained room with the warmth of the fire bringing us comfort
Our shadows being mirrored on placid walls painted there by glowing fire embers
Even in this light I can see your eyes aglow with love and listen to the softness of your voice.

Sweetheart, to you I give my heart; body and soul - my every waking moments.......
....and promise to share my love with honesty, respect, loyalty bound together with dignity
Only you will ever hold the key to my heart which shall remain open to share with you each day
As we sleep tonight the silken fibres of my love will be wrapped around you in adoration.

For centuries thousands of poets have described love upon countless scores of paper parchments
They have couched words of love in the many differing languages of our world; but.......
....to them I say, "When I gaze at you, I feel my body begin to melt quicker than a flaming candle"
My Orchid Lady, in the shades of my life you are the artist's colours, artwork and completeness.
