Here i go , one step out of the door
and there i see a girl asking her boyfriend not to leave
with tears in her eyes as she pleads for a better way
she doesn't understand y , he has caused her so much pain
as months passed , he never even called once
not even to say sorry or ask how she was
even though she tried to forget
there was a mark that joins them for the rest of there life
he left when she was only 6 months pregnant
to him that was a mistake
and even though he would have paid for the procedure
she wouldn't hurt herself that way
she had a baby girl
a wonderful blessing in which she knew it would give her strength
she had made a decision even though on her own
but she knew it would be alright , that baby was a blessing from above
she forgave him , but never forgot Wat he did
that wound will never be healed
even though she tried so hard
as years passed so did she
leaving behind lovely memories
she lived happy but not satisfied
she always expected for him to apologize
as i stand here looking back
i understand things i didn't before
i did love her in my own way
but i wasn't worth enough for her
i never knew how much she loved me
i should have stayed and stuck by her side
she deserved better from me
i didn't even get to say goodbye
i don't deserve to be forgiven
even though by her i did
i wish i could have been there to do the right thing
