Picture in my Frame

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   May 26, 2008

The key to my soul and the whisper in my heart.
Hand to the pen and the paper for the ink.
Eye of my apple and the finish to my start.
Lips for the smile and lids so all may blink.

The foot in the shoe and the finger for the ring.
The bicycle for the wheels and the thorn of the rose.
The wings of the butterfly and the bee's sting
The night holding the stars at dusk and all that glows.

My metaphor that's reversed
and hidden language in my heart.
My speech I haven't rehearsed.
You are my bullseye I'm your dart.

No matter how I say how I feel about you,
it ends up all meaning the same.
We are one and one, but together we are two.
You are the picture in my frame.
