Betrayed (by your eyes)

by NeferNoir   May 26, 2008

Queer eyes,
sleeps in distress.
A cursed tongue,
forced to confess.
Bared.
Impured.

Lips with stitches,
forced to silence.
Your morose eyes,
a false ambience.
Muted.
Impaled.

Deplore my trust,
masked with smiles.
Serpentine swirls,
of ethereal deceit.
Broken.
Divine.

Dance of pretense,
releasing hysteria.
Ballad of a liar,
curtains fall.
Phobic.
Ended.

You taint my beliefs with fictions,
breaking the fragile string of my credence so frayed.
Stranded in your words.
Betrayed.

Wow! Absolutely mind-blowing! This is utterly powerful piece. I honestly enjoyed in every word, very descriptive and vivid. You expressed your emotions on remarkable way, choice of words is great and whole idea of this poem fascinated me with its uniqueness. You truly created effective rhythm. I think that this is one of the best poems I read in a long time, it goes into my favorites and I will leave you more detail comment later.
