A prayer for a friend

by StandStill   May 26, 2008

God, my prayers aren't quite good,
so i write down my sob-filled pleas,
Lord...help us make it through times,
help us survive times like these

Lord, she's my guardian angel,
maybe it's selfish, but don't take her away,
please, Lord, keep her alive for me,
i need to talk to her another day

Father, bring her home to us,
take away her self-hating pain,
God, she's the strongest of us,
I just want to talk to her again...

I love her so much, as i know you know,
and I'm sobbing out my eyes,
Lord, I pray that she can feel these tears,
feel the tears that her loved ones cry
