It's Me Again

by brie kelly wise   May 26, 2008

Daddy, it's me again
I'm sorry to wake you on this scary night
But you came home drunk again and we got in a fight
I'm old enough to know you has no right
To hit me even though we used to be tight
I guess we are hurt with time
With mom gone and all I can't blame you if you want to take your life
But daddy, please just let me talk tonight

Mom, it's me again
I'm sorry to come to you so late
I guess we have no control over fate
But daddy left me for a better place
I guess he was always the one to hate
I know you're to far to chase
But please hold me before I break
But mommy, please come home, it's not too late

God, it's me again
Is it normal to feel so alone
I thought you wanted me to have a home
I'm guessing this is the result of being cold
This praying thing is getting old
When I look to the sky, you seem to far so
Before I break, the least you can do is soften the blow
God, I know you're trying you're hardest but I can't be alone
