It Was Love...

Sometimes I sit and wonder,
What actually went wrong?
When the feelings that we shared,
Were unbreakable and strong.

I knew it from the start,
We weren't meant to last,
But it doesn't change a thing,
It cant change the past.

I wish we could go back in time,
And make sure we didn't end,
Then I wouldn't have to hurt,
And keep having to pretend.

I decided to write this poem,
And say exactly how I feel,
Baby being with you,
Made all my good dreams real.

With the slightest touch,
You could make me so weak,
Make my knees buckle,
And make it hard for me to speak.

Being your girlfriend,
The only girl for you,
Made me believe that maybe,
Love is actually true.

Being alone with you,
Made everything seem real,
Its like someone gave me a heart,
And I could finally feel.

Looking in your eyes,
I could see nothing but you,
Made me feel all nervous,
And forget what I should do.

Everything about you,
Made my life seem great,
It made me feel love,
Instead of always hate.

I still love you truly,
But we can never be,
But promise me forever,
You wont forget about me?

You were the best thing to happen,
And you came at the right time,
You just walked into my life,
And decided you would be mine.

I thank you for the memories,
And the time you spent with me,
And I hope maybe one day,
Together we can be.
