Splinters

by lostsoul13   May 27, 2008

Shedding these limbs
without a moments hesitation
The splinters are still there
sticking out from holes
in my skin
Lashing out
without warning
Crashing down
to this cold colorless ground
My arms are killing me
Splinters jabbing against ribs
that are as hard as boulders
Sharp as a razor's edge
Splinters pushing me over the edge of madness
Shedding these limbs
without looking at the blood pouring from my side
Feeling like Ive died and gone to Hell
Wait a second
Look how far i fell
its just as well
Splinters are falling
Down like hail
Splinters
Splinters
What a precarious situation
WELCOME TO HELL,
a sign says-and its made of splinters
Ive reached my destination.
