Today's just Yesterday's Tomorrow ((just another day))

by StandStill   May 27, 2008

She'd rather fix her makeup
than her broken heart inside.
She'd rather be an angel,
that the broken girl she hides.

They keep telling her yesterday
is just another day flown by,
but she knows deep down inside of her,
yesterday's just another reason to cry.

And she'd rather take a picture,
than be trapped in a photgraph.
Deep down inside she's crying,
but outside she'll smile and laugh.

They keep telling her tomorrow
is only a single day away,
but she knows deep down inside her
that tomorrow's looking grey.

She'd rather be dying
than to bring you down with her.
Keeps mum on the quiet brokeness
and gives you your own pleasure.

They keep telling her today
is just another reason to live,
but she knows deep down inside of her
she has nothing left to give.

So she'll fake another smile,
never wear her broken heart on her sleeve,
tomorrow she might just be gone,
but today she'll be strong and pray that you won't grieve
