Weak Technique

by Kik   May 27, 2008

I don't rhyme in couplets,
Don't follow the meter,
I don't care how a word fits,

Syllables aren't a virtue of my writing,
I write for the intellectual,
The intellectual care more,
For the content,
Then how the melody went,
This isn't music,
Not lyrics at all,
So don't accuse it,
Of being melodic,
Nor me being psychotic,
I write what I feel,
Whether an event pertaining,
To me,
Or something that is ascertaining,
Certain,
Open up my brain's curtain,
Through the window that I see,
It's quite apparently apparent,
That my poems are poetic,
With energy kinetic,
So kinetic energy is what is asked from me,
Take it from me with a certainty,
From the very beginning,
To the end of this feeling,
Iambic meter is a restraint,
Restraint to what you want to say,
And how you want to say it,
Trying to make trash look like platinum,
It's concurrent,
To say this whole poem is contradictory,
As sometimes I do write in couplets,
The meter,
In sections of poems,
In which that I can,
Just a simple case,
Of let's fight the man,
Yes rage the machine,
Cause some great chaos,
But it won't pay off,
To be able to say anything,
Look at the bright side,
And inferior,
Analyze the lines,
And interior...
