Pandemonium, Part 2

by Kik   May 27, 2008

Now the new soldier didn't know how to face it,
Take it with mind open?
Or call it a disgrace and throw an insane fit?
But he opened his mind to be optimistic,
The next couple moths stressful,
Late nights training, Early morning awakenings,
Tired of putting on a face and faking things,
This was just training,
Had not even been off to war yet,
And he got inferior advice from his grandfather,
An old Vietnam vet,
Nowhere to resort to,
Life was all military,
He knew it would be scary,
But where's the stimulating part?
This is ALL violence,
At least there's an alliance,
Wait there's not event hat,
Theses fellow soldiers go off to chat,
They leave him, When he goes up to them,
Split his lip and bust his nose,
Tell him he doesn't know how the Marines are supposed to go,
Tries to counterattack this vicious blow,
Pulls out his new machine gun,
Points it at the instructor,
Ready to pull the trigger,
Starts to feel that stimulation,
The aurora gets very uneasy,
All hearts racing,
Instructor staring blankly at the barrel,
All soldiers sudden feeling his anguish,
Regretting the previous quarrel,
Now our soldier is blindsided,
Grabbed and thrown to the ground,
Face landing on barbwire, the night seems lighted,
The man that hit him a dark male,
Gets up and jams the soldier's hand to a nail,
Situation exposes, unfolds, into transgression,
Our soldier gets up,
Hits him with a pistol,
Pulls out a switchblade from his combat boot,
And the other hand his pistol,
Points it again this time ready to shoot,
The black male just puts his hands up,
Hopeless not knowing how to help our soldier,
Soldiers all scramble and create chaos,
Pandemonium,
Our soldier tells them he's about to take this man's face off,
Black male sitting on the ground praying,
Reminiscing and wishing,
Wishing to see his family again,
But maybe not alive,
In the heavens?
He quickly asks forgiveness of his sins,
Our soldier has to react,
Thinks of his daughter dear Ericka,
Before he left he made this pact,
This pact that he would promise to come back,
Come back the same person he left,
Now he's one step to being a murderer,
He couldn't explain this to her,
Puts the gun down,
Hands all bloody, Blood dripping all around,
Face is visibly gnarled,
The switchblade still in his hand,
Colonels, Soldiers, Instructors, all rush to him,
Give him no mercy as they put his face in teh dirt,
Our soldier struggled,
But it did not work,
He was beaten down,
It didn't stop,
Whole body bloody,
Gave up struggling,
Mouth muddy,
He couldn't breathe,
Began to gag,
Wanted to leave,
Last thoughts of Ericka,
Is this the true nature of America?
He is let go,
People get off him,
Goes into convulsions,
No certainty of living or dying,
Military just plans on lying,
Lying about the situation,
Probably get away with it,
Because they are protectors of the nation,
Our soldier lies there as medics run,
Soldiers quarrel as feelings are unleashed,
Pandemonium,
Will our soldier die?
Everybody is questioning,
What was the effect?
What was the cause?
One thing certain,
Our soldier still has a pulse...
