Hold My Heart[Pull The Strings]

by TheRevelation   May 27, 2008

My chest is red, the blood seeping through my white shirt,
What is this emptiness, something had been here before,
I feel a tug and one of the strings has been snapped,
Time to follow the trail.

Lifting my stained cheeks to the sun streaked room,
I see it now, the gap with strings dangling out,
Tracing the lines I see you pulling, what is in your hand?
You are pulling my strings.

You are holding my heart, the beat slow and tired,
The menacing look in your pupils as you pull,
Let me go, I can't live without that piece, let go,
I am at your disposal.

This is an excellent piece. Your story is painted so vividly from the start. It literally left me breathless!!

An amazing write from start to finish! I was going to pick a favourite word, line or verse, but I cannot! It is all fantastic!!
