Fears of Imperfection

by Quiet Rejection   May 28, 2008

You judge me by my appearance,
And ask just what I'm worth,
And when I fail to meet your standards,
You treat me like I'm dirt.
If I don't act how you want me to,
I'm a failure in your eyes.
The truth is never good enough,
So you fill me up with lies.
You discreetly try to hide your flaws,
But I see them, as I should.
It's not my place to correct them,
But if I don't, who ever would?
We are all just trying to make it by,
But we all fear the rejection.
God forbid that anyone,
Should see our imperfections.
