Thunderstorms.

by Shelby   May 28, 2008

You watch the lightning,
Streak the sky.
The Gods are fighting,
You wonder why.

The thunder rumbles,
Crashing and cracking.
The thunder tumbles,
Clapping and smacking.

The rain is tilted,
Coming down fast.
The grass is wilted,
The storm won't pass.

It's calm and soothing,
The thunderstorm.
You lay unmoving,
And listen some more.

You close your eyes,
To listen to the storm.
You think about the sky,
The shape and the form.

:)
Haha.
I LOVE thunderstorms.

Very well done and I will agree there is nothing like a good thunder storm to wake the soul and make the senses come alive. I liked your poem and felt you chose great words to express the emotions pent up in your pen. nicely done, bravo
