Sweet poison

by sarah   May 29, 2008

She knew it was going to hurt her,
she knew it all along
Despite the warnings
despite the signs
the temptation grew stronger night by night
The sweet poison was all her heart longed for
She relentlessly chased after it
only wanting more and more
slowly it ate away at her heart
she knew it was pure inside
but anything to satisfy the longing inside
He gave her a fake feeling of love
until he'd taken all that he could take
then the fog lifted from her eyes
she Finlay saw all the lies
but it was too late because no more tears could her heart cry.
