Just Another One Dead

by Kik   May 29, 2008

Look in my eyes see what I'm seeing,
Look at the brown tint,
See the reflection of my vision,
The eyes' colorful pigment,
The world beyond to the unmentioned,
As I walk the vision moves,
As you stalk my vision improves,
Looks at your face apparent I see you,
My own stalker I know it's you,
Keep on staring analyzing my good and flaws,
I keep staring back come to a pause,
You can't stand it rush to me,
Senses advanced loud like an applause,
You trigger my instincts,
Now my eyes keen like a lynx,
Fixed my gaze on the door,
To get away from you and the horror,
I see you pull at that AK,
Shout at me,
You and your comrades,
I'm getting attacked by Iraqis,
A whole gang of rag-heads,
You're partner pulls a razor out of his dreads,
Aims and successful,
Hits all my fellow Marines and splits their heads,
Nothing left to do but follow my brain,
Whole situation insane,
Duck behind a group of citizens,
Not sure what my enemies intend,
Load my M16,
Set aside my pistol,
Then crowd rambles around screaming religious verses,
Innocent after innocent fall down wounded and dead,
Man beside me hit in the head and screaming obscene curses,
Lay down beside him,
Tragedy in the making like Poseidon,
Making my own death warrant,
This happened to a torrent,
As I lay here watching the enemy circumvent,
Look at the half-dead man and began to confide,
Tell him to look up to Heaven and let himself go,
Nothing else to do,
No other feelings to let go,
AK to my head,
Sound of multiple gunshots,
I'm dead,
Another deceased soldier in the news,
Just another,
Another overlooked case of simple bloodshed...
