You two

by Iola   May 29, 2008

Your shouting scares me until today
I am glad you threw it all away
Even now a child's cry irks
The reason my infertility works

The glass you threw at him shook
Still today a chapter in my book
The gun you swung made me decide
To rather run and hide

The dices in the streets caused me to smile
At love, even for awhile
But the price to pay too high
I don't even want to try

Your infidelity a confirmation of betrayal
An affirmation that true love will fail
The cries I heard so late at night
A reminder that it's not worth the fight

Your absence a thief of my own guilt
The very cause of what I yield
Left bouncing in a no-mans land
And now it is love that I don't understand
